Danny Frietman is an entrepreneur, senior advisor, and moderator at the intersection of technology, innovation, and public-private partnership. Through his firm DMF Strategy & Tech, founded in 2011 and based in The Hague, he builds tech communities and helps organizations create new value through technology and public-private partnerships.
Over the past 20+ years, Danny has been building tech ecosystems and communities — from SXSW in Austin to innovation hubs in Almere. As co-founder of New Dutch Wave, project director of Innovally, co-founder of the TES and of course the NLA HUB recently, he connects people, organizations, and ideas to create shared impact.
After studying Business Administration at Erasmus University Rotterdam (MSc, specialization in Management of Change), he began his career at IBM and Exact International before founding his first company in 2001: Senza Fili, a mobile solutions integrator that won the Deloitte Rising Star award.
Since then, Danny has launched and driven countless initiatives: from Holland Pavilions on Smart City Expo, Mobile World Congress and Web Summit, he also initiated GovTechNL. As co-founder of New Dutch Wave, he brings Dutch entrepreneurs to the world stage at SXSW. As project director of Innovally he leads the development of a technology-driven innovation ecosystem in Almere.
He serves as moderator at Dutch IT Leaders, advisor to the board of BTG, board member of NLA HUB, and co-founder of the Tax Evolution Summit. In 2018, he was named The Hague Personality of the Year. He sits or has sat on the advisory boards of HAL24K (San Francisco), Humans Unlocking Potential (Los Angeles), and various other ventures.
His common thread: building bridges between government, business, and technology to create shared value.
He recently joined the board of Haagsche Vrijheidsmaaltijden. He is married with Adriënne, has 3 amazing kids, 2 dogs, loves Italy, Padel, Tennis, Food and…people.
